It is recalled that ASER Construction Plc. has previously signed a contract agreement with the Ethiopian Roads Authority on the 5th of February 2015 to Design and Build Koka-Adulala-Debrezeit Road Project. The project, located at the Central part of Ethiopia in Oromia Regional State of East Shewa Zone, covers a total estimated length of about 52.22Km beginning from the outskirt of Koka town, about a distance of 21Km from Modjotown along Modjo-Hawassa trunk road and traverses through Adulala town, Dire town then in the North East direction finally to terminate at Debrezeit town.
As per the agreement ASER Construction Plc has been working and on the 12th of May 2015 corner stone was laid with Ministry of Transport, His Excellency Workeneh Gebeyehu, the Regional Higher Government Officials with the company’s General Manger- Eng. Yemane Abreha.
The Project involves Design and Construction of road with DC4 (Low Volume Design Class) for the first 20.5Km up to Adulala town followed by Double Surface Treatment selection with DS4 standard up to Km 39+700. The final section with DS4 Asphalt Concrete standard till the end of the project that up to Debrezeit town includes substantial work such as demolishing and removal of substandard structures like bridges, slab culverts and pipe culverts and construction of new culverts and bridges.
After the completion of the road project, it would be vital for the residents of the vicinity providing access to schools, health centers and markets amongst others; thereby creating better living condition.
