Following the public bid of architectural design organized by ASER construction plc for the construction of apartments around Meskel Flower in Kirkos Sub city and Bole area behind Millennium Hall, winners were declared on November 20, 2015 in an event held at Harmony Hotel.

The purpose of building the apartments was to alleviate the chronic housing problem in the capital city through providing best design apartments to residents as well as maintaining the aesthetic values of the capital city, it was learnt.

The winners and the other four short listed finalists in the competition each received an award from Company Manager and Deputy Manager on the spot.
